Dearest Levi - levi x reader

I remember it was like any other day out in the field gathering vegetables in the rain i could see an army of men and women passing the looked pretty done in and the rain was soaking them to the bone i would love to share the vegetable with them maybe even give them some bread and fresh water as well to take with them but my uncle isn't exactly the nicest man so i immediately focussed on my job at hand

i don't want to upset uncle again he hates it when i am so slow collecting vegetables
But to my terror he was behind me and grabbed my hair roughly
"Pathetic! your just as worthless as your mother! No wonder why she gave you to me your just so weak!" he slapped me across the face and i fell to the ground hard my cheek was throbing i hit off a shard rock so now there was blood pouring down my bruised cut opened cheek i didn't cry however, no that comes after the belt is what makes me cry and sometimes even pass out i begged him
"Please uncle don't get the belt i'll pick the vegetables right now if you please let me!" i pleaded with him but he got angrier and started to take off his belt he was going to beat me in the pouring down rain looks like there will be no sleeping comfortable tonight

i waited for the impact but it never came i opened my eyes slowly to see a shortish tallish man (fyi you are short compared to levi) grabbing the belt he looked so unaffected but he also spoke like he was irritated "Pardon me dickless why are you striking this poor girl?" he said ripping the belt from my uncles hands

my uncle looked terrified but immediately went
back to being the bull headed man he was "None of your damn business asshole now get out of my way so i can teach this little bitch a lesson!" uncle grabbed for the belt but the man merely threw the belt far into the field "You wan't it go fetch it mutt." the man looked even more irritated
my uncle growled and screamed "You'll pay for that bastard!" my uncle threw a fist but was met with the mans fist to his gut my uncle coughed so hard he spit blood up he fell to the ground unconscious

the man looked down on me and his expression soften a bit he offered me his hand and i took it i stumbled a bit but he caught me and i looked up at him shocked and embarrased "I'm so sorry sir i-i mean thank you sir thank you so much for helping unfornately tho once he wakes up he'll be even more angry but thank you so much for your help!" i smiled even threw the pain in my face.


The man said gently "Look..i know some people that can help you get a place if you come with me i'll help you and if they can't you can come stay with me but there will be chores if you live with me, do you agree anyways?" he asked politely but still with that blank face

i pondered it for a moment and realized i shouldn't even be thinking i should just go!
"Yes! i mean yes please sir!" my eyes lit up

the man tched and said "Go get your belonging but be fast we must get to the city before night fall."

i nodded and looked down at my unconsious uncle i almost felt sorry for him...Almost so not having the spark or spine before but something snapped and i just spit in his face and stepped and climbed over him and he grunted as i stepped on his stomach and went inside and grabbed my bag i packed whatever clothes i owned and packed some apples and a canteen of water, once i was done packing i looked around the old place 'i don't think i'll miss this place at all' i said to myself i turned and walked out it seemed the rain had stopped for now the sun was peaking threw the clouds

levi was still in the same place i walked out and he turned his head towards me and said "Well lets get going." he said in a plain voice

'He doesn't show a lot of emotion..' he looked at me as soon as i made a funny face "What?" i meeped blushing and said "N-nothing sir!" and looked down on the ground and started to run to him i packed my belongings with the horse's knapsack tied to the ropes on the side

he looked at the side of my face where it was cut it was already swelling and throbbing also bleeding he yelled to one of his cadets to bring him some bandages and water they screamed back with a "Yes Sir!" and brought over the bandages and saluted him and then he turned to me and said "Come here i promise i'll be gentle as i can i am not good at these sorts of things" he said sighing

"Uhm its okay really sir- i mean levi i can take care of it later" i looked at him blushing and shaking from the cold of the rain he looked at my shaking form and tched and took off his cape and wrapped it around my shoulders and said "End of discussion, Come here...what is your name anyways?" he asked plainly

i blushed and said shyly "Uhm its y/n"

"Well y/n would you like your face to get infected? or would you like it to get cleaned?" he asked raising the bandages to me

"N-no!" i gulped and walked over cautiously to him and he dipped the cloth into the water and started to clean it i hissed when the coldness of the cloth touched my face "Ouch that burns!" i yelped in the cutest most funniest way and jumped away from him

He started shaking, 'Oh no he's furious!' and then he starts to laugh the cadets gaped at him and start to whisper 'She got the corporal to laugh!' and then another whispered and said 'Is it the end of the world?!' she looked at him and the way they were saying it was like this man has never laughed in his life she couldn't help but giggle to

then he composed himself and looked at her giggling 'she is adorable' he thought and said "Well i am glad your feeling better, i got you to laugh brat" he smiled and the cadets all gasped again and whispered 'She must be some kind of person if she can get him to smile and laugh like that!' another cadet whispers 'Maybe she's a witch?' one of them said

levi turned and yelled "Quiet cadets! eyes front or you'll clean the stables and run till you collapse!" and they all shut up he looked at me and rolling his eyes and tched again and said "Lets get you patched up okay?" and i turned my head and he started cleaning my wound bandaging it up "There all done." and i looked at him blushing "Thank you levi!" i leaned up and pecked his cheek

He went wide eyed and blushed deeply and stepped back and covered his face with his hand and cleared his throat "L-lets go" and climbed on the horse and helped me up "Your gonna haft to wrap your arms around my waist we are gonna go really fast" he said looking back at me still with a tint of red on his face

i wrapped them around his waist and pressed my face against his back i was so small compared to him i blushed even deeper "Speaking of which.." he started "Yes?" i tilted my head to the side "How old are you?" i bit my lip "11..Why?" i asked curiously "Ah nothing just curious" and stared back to the road ahead i just shrugged my shoulders and took one more look back at my soon to be just a memory of my home

And that was the day my fate was sealed.
